Are you passionate about creating a more inclusive Vermont? Join the Governor’s Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities (GCEPD) and help shape a future where all Vermonters, regardless of ability, have equal access to meaningful employment.
What We Do
GCEPD serves as an advisory body to the Governor, working to promote equal employment opportunities for Vermonters with disabilities. Our mission is carried out through:
-
Raising public awareness about the value and contributions of workers with disabilities
-
Fostering collaboration among businesses, state and federal agencies, and service providers
-
Advising state leadership on key issues related to disability employment and inclusion
A major highlight of our work is organizing the annual Spirit of the ADA Awards, which celebrate Vermont businesses that go above and beyond to create inclusive, accessible workplaces.
